Accentivo Ltd is a private limited company based in West Yorkshire, England. Accentivo provides a range of web consultancy services, focusing on internet information extraction. Using our innovative technology, our clients are able to harvest information from the internet and integrate business critical web applications into existing IT infrastructure. Our unique EasyPlatform™ software enables our clients to rapidly build and deploy applications that combine, manipulate and enhance readily available online data and processes to create powerful tools that can improve business productivity.

A brief history...

Accentivo Limited was founded in 2007 by Cambridge University computer science graduates Robert Durkin and Chris Conn with the aim of commercialising technology developed as part of a Dissertation project entitled "Generic Price Comparison in an Online Marketplace". Inspired by the founder's previous company, Films4Less Limited (founded in 2005), the initial idea was to create a highly expandable and maintainable price comparison search engine, capable of gathering and processing price-product data on DVDs in real time.

In order to do this, it was necessary to develop a platform for quickly and easily automating the extraction of information from thousands of websites. Employing techniques and algorithms from the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and human computer interaction, the prototype EasyWrap™ application was developed in 2006.

Working with real-world clients, Accentivo developed and refined the software into a commercial grade application and in 2007, began developing the EasyPipe™ application to extend the capabilities of the core technology and address higher level information processing problems. EasyPlatform™ incorporates both these applications and delivers ground breaking web information extraction and processing capabilities in a single, easy to use application.

Our principles...

When developing solutions for our clients, we focus on the following principles of design:

• Ease of use - we strive to design user friendly systems that require a minimum of training to use.
• Scalability - software should always be designed to anticipate and accomodate the growth of your organisation.
• Robustness - by careful design, and constant attention to detail, we always aim to deploy reliable, stable and flexible solutions.
• Expandability - we employ a highly generic and modular approach to system design, meaning we can provide solutions that accomodate regular modification and additions.

We employ the following priciples when working with our clients on a consultancy basis:

• The client sets the objectives of the project, which we will adhere to as strictly as possible.
• The client will be provided with a full outline of the cost involved at the start of a project.
• We will attempt to accomodate reasonable changes in requirements made by the client throughout the project, and provide the client with a revised cost estimate so they are always aware of the costs of those changes.
• We will inform the client of any unforeseen issues that affect the project and provide them with options for addressing any potential problems.
• The client will have access to project deliverables throughout the project.
